What a year it has been!

Wow, okay. Time to update the blog. It has been far too long (six months to be exact) and our little baby isn't such a baby anymore! I will try and update more regularly now but no promises!

It's hard to believe that over a year has passed since our little boy was born. What a joy he has been and continues to be...he is definitely the boss around this house! He is a crawling machine! You cannot turn your back on that little guy or he's off and you have no idea where he is! He just recently started standing on his own and walking is in our near future. My life is about to get a whole lot more hectic....and I wouldn't have it any other way. Being the mom of a 1 year old is trying, tiring (make that exhausting), and hard, but it is so joyful, and worth it! I love being able to stay home with our little boy and watch him develop and grow. I'm so lucky not to be returning to work. Being a stay at home mom is the best thing for our family right now and I know that I will look back and cherish these days with little ones at home.

As if our life isn't hectic enough with dad's crazy work schedule and a VERY busy one year old...we are selling our townhouse! It is time to get into something bigger with a bigger yard for our growing family. We hope to have more little ones one day and we have definitely outgrown this place with three humans and two dogs! Wish us luck on that endeavour.

In other news...there is a serious cold going around right now and we all have it, including Austin. And on top of that he is cutting is molars. Lets just say that daytime sleep is pretty much non existent! Poor little boy. I just hear him coughing away trying to have a nap and he just can't sleep! Hopefully we get over this soon.

We are looking forward to seeing my family for Easter this year. We can't wait to get up there and have an Easter egg hunt and see what the Easter bunny has in store for us this year! Last year Austin was only a few weeks old when Easter rolled around so I am looking forward to stuffing his little basket with some cute surprises for him this year! If you're wondering what to get your one year old this Easter here are some great ideas...

We have gotten Austin some great books by the same author that wrote Good Night Moon (our favourite nap and bedtime book!).

You can find both of these books on Amazon (Home for a Bunny and The Runaway Bunny). Also gracing his Easter basket this year are these adorable Melissa and Doug triangular jumbo crayons and some Crayola My First Stamps for little hands! Both of which can also be found on Amazon (click on the links and it will take you there!).

I plan on filling his little plastic eggs with goldfish crackers, cheerios, and gerber puffs as these are all his favourite too! One more thing I'm hoping to get my hands on for him are some Freshly Picked moccasins. Since seeing this adorable little shoes on Shark Tank I couldn't wait to get some and when I saw they would be bringing some camo ones in I knew that it was just meant to be. Wish me luck in getting some!

What are you getting for your little ones this Easter?
