Mama told me there would be days like this...

Wow. You know those days where you wake up and just want to go back to bed until the next day? Ya that was our day today.  5:30am...cue screaming toddler until 6:30am at which time he fell asleep in our bed and proceeded to wake up and cry every 20 or so minutes until 8:15. And that is how our day started....and continued.

Poor little guy is getting his first year molars and you can see the bruising under his gums. At least thats what I'm blaming his bad sleeping on. This is the kid that used to go to bed with only a few whines or whimpers and sleep all night (7-7). Now he is crying for at least a half hour and apparently now waking at 5:30. He also used to do the same for naps and sleep for two hours every day. Today he screamed and screamed until he finally fell asleep. I went to check on him and saw this...
That sight really does make it all worth it. Such a sweet little thing. But then he woke up 20 minutes later and proceeded to be a grump for the rest of the day. Needless to say we got nothing done today but did enjoy lots of snuggles. I will be sad when mommy snuggles don't fix everything anymore. But for now I will cherish it and enjoy every second.

Life does go on and lets hope that we all wake up on the right side of the bed tomorrow morning. Tomorrow we are going to go out and find daddy some little Easter treats. What's going to be in my hubby's Easter "basket" this year? Some of his favourite treats (like peanut butter oh henry and mini eggs) as well as this red Blue Jays spring training cap (he already has the blue version). And we are going to stuff it into a six pack of beer (taking three out and putting them in the fridge) with some easter grass and other little nick nacks. I think he'll be surprised that the Easter Bunny visited him as well. Are you getting your significant other a Easter gift?

We are looking forward to Austin's second Easter and spending time with family eating yummy food. Because after all...isn't that what holidays are always about?
